Every Thursday in Cafe 12, we have our Lunch Club for the over 60s.
At 12.15pm, we serve a two-course lunch with tea or coffee. Cost is £4.

Senior Citizens Tea (every quarter) - 5.00pm - 6.30pm
All Senior Citizens are welcome to join us for tea, followed by singing hymns and a short message from the Bible.
The Central Club for the Retired meets every Wednesday (except in August). Members can play Scrabble, buy coffee, find bargains on the Bring and Buy stall and chat with other members. The first few minutes are taken up with announcements, birthdays and, because we are a Christian group, a short act of worship, usually a song, prayer and sometimes, a reading. However on the first Wednesday of each month we have a programme, which includes speakers, choirs, soloists, exercise, entertainers etc.
At 12.30 members who stay for lunch enjoy a two course meal. This meal is cooked on the premises by volunteer cooks from The Reading Central Salvation Army.

We are a group of retired people who meet at 10am on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month (except January and August). We have a speaker and coffee at one meeting and then coffee and chat on the other day. A couple of times a year we go out for a pub lunch.
We are a group of retired people who meet for coffee, cake and chat at 2pm on the third Wednesday in the month. Everybody is very welcome!

A gentle stretch and strength fitness class suitable for all ages. Led by a qualified instructor.
Pop-in is hosted by the funny and engaging Dave Watson and his lovely wife Jane who together, will give you a very warm welcome. It is a get-together each Monday from 2:30 till 4pm in the Old Chapel, when mainly senior people come together for a friendly chat, tea and homemade cakes.
This is a group for the more senior members of our community. We provide transport which will take all guests to the activity provided and then safely home afterwards. We aim to make sure all who come feel valued and enjoy their time at buddies. Each month we arrange various activities.
PRIMETIME provides a varied programme of activities that will be of interest to retired people. Guest speakers and their subjects are invited to talk about something that we may not normally know about.
There are no age limits or formal membership at PRIMETIME. If you are retired, then you are very welcome to join us.
The aim of PRIMETIME is to provide a place and opportunity for retired people to meet, talk, eat and enjoy being together.

Come and join us in the Church Foyer for tea or coffee before we all move into the Church Hall for a two course Lunch. (suggested donation of £4.50)
Refreshments and a warm welcome on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month for older people from 2-4 pm. Open to anyone who enjoys a conversation over a cup of tea and cake. Usually there’s also an opportunity to join in with board games or quizzes.
The Engage Befriending Programme matches a volunteer befriender with an older person (55+) in their local community. They meet for approximately an hour a week to engage in conversation and build a positive friendship. This can include a chat over a cup of tea, going on a short trip, do some shopping together or attend an event.

Connections is for all senior members of our community of Theale (and local neighbours!). The group takes place on the last Tuesday of every month (except August) in the John Cumber Hall just off the high street. It is a time and place to catch up with individuals in the village over a cuppa and some home made cake. We also work alongside a number of local businesses to provide different activities for all to enjoy, from hand massages, seated exercises, card games and more. Connections is about creating links between the church, the village and the local businesses. All are welcome to attend.
