The work of Door of Hope has expanded to include a weekly Recovery Group on a Friday at 2pm at the Pavilion to provide support and encouragement for those in recovery and for those currently still in addiction but seeking help to change their lifestyle

Anybody is welcome to drop in.

Door of Hope came in to being in September 1998 to provide supported accommodation and discipleship for men with life-controlling problems (chiefly addiction to drugs and alcohol), with the following aims:

  • empowering each individual into suitable work and/or education;
  • nurturing residents toward a higher level of stability;
  • overcoming life controlling problems;
  • reintegrating residents into mainstream community;
  • supporting former residents in their independence and providing an on-going sense of community for them.

CCA – Support Centre

Everyone who is on income-based benefits is entitled to register as a Support Centre client, and to obtain furniture and other household necessities (eg. bedding and kitchen packs) at Support Centre prices.

Visits are available by appointment or you can drop in though you may have to wait for our team to be available.

CCA – Furniture Shop

The CCA shop in Northumberland Avenue is where we sell items of donated furniture that don't meet the emergency furniture needs of our Support Centre clients. Here you can buy everything from Antique to Modern, beds to wall units.
