We offer free hot meals for the community
If you are looking for a warm, friendly place to visit come and join us! Hot drinks and food available from 12 noon to 4.30pm, as well as a warm place to sit and chat.
We are also part of Community Food Share working with Tesco to reduce food waste. We will have free food available from 3pm each Tuesday. Bring a bag, collect some food and stay for a hot drink and something to eat.

Foodshare is open every Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 8pm.
We operate from the Lower Back Hall of the Church building. Access is from the side entrance, next to the Church carpark.

SHARE is a community project that offers a range of fresh produce including bread and vegetables, which are either surplus or end of day items from the local supermarkets.
Come along with a bag and pick up some food. No referral needed. There is a minimum £1 donation most of which will go towards warm banks in Woodley.
Woodley Food Bank serves the people of Woodley and surrounding areas. If you need a food parcel you can collect one yourself from Emmanuel most week day mornings. Please click here for opening times on the Woodley Food Bank website.
Lunch Bunch operates out of Emmanuel during school holidays. It aims to provide packed lunches for children in need in Woodley.

You cannot order a parcel for yourself
We need you to approach someone at Reading Borough Council, Social Services, the Job Centre, Doctor, School, or indeed any professional body/agency who will be able to vouch for your need.
HOWEVER, if you feel your need is desperate call the office on 0118 987 2672 and we can assess your need and may offer a one off parcel and point you in the direction of the right agency for you to contact to gain a referral.

Our Community Fridge is open Wednesday to Friday. We offer a selection of free fresh and non-perishable food. This is a drop-in service with no referral needed.
We also run a Toiletries Service every first Tuesday and Wednesday of the month.
Sadaka provides twice a week a nutritional and warm meal alongside a bottle of water, a bag of crisps, a cereal bar, a fruit, and a dessert.
It also held food distribution every Saturday.

Appointment-based service to those experiencing homelessness, in temporary accommodation and tenancy sustainment. During Community Outreach the hall will be open as a drop-in centre for anyone who is experiencing homelessness or in need.
We can provide:

A weekly gathering in a warm place for anyone who would like to join in making lunch together and share life and hobbies. Soup will be prepared from produce collected from 'Share', and a pop-up 'Share' stall is available with fresh food to take home.
Times of prayer and reflection take place through the session.
