Prayer is just conversation with God…and it is not as difficult as you might think. You don’t need to use special words or a special voice. You can pray out loud or silently. God knows what you think and is aware of all your needs so you can talk to him about anything. A good place to start is the familiar prayer that Jesus taught to his disciples:
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and for ever.
Amen
